Nondiscrimination Policy
Poetic Justice is committed to providing programs, opportunities, and organizational participation on a nondiscriminatory basis. In accordance with Section 6.04 of the Poetic Justice bylaws, the organization does not discriminate in the selection of its officers, directors, committee members, employees, volunteers, or program participants.
Poetic Justice does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, age, disability, veteran status, political affiliation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
Poetic Justice strives to foster an inclusive environment where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect and where diverse voices and experiences are welcomed and encouraged.
Conflict of Interest Policy
This policy protects the organization and, by extension, those it serves when it is considering entering into a transaction that may benefit the private interest of an officer, director, and/or key employee of the organization.
Whistleblower Policy
This policy outlines procedures for handling employee complaints, as well as a confidential way for employees to report financial or other types of mismanagement.
Document Retention and Destruction Policy
This policy establishes guidelines for the handling, backing up, archiving, and destruction of documents. These guidelines foster good record-keeping procedures that promote data integrity.
Independent Audit & Looking Ahead
Poetic Justice has not yet completed an independent financial audit. As outlined in our organizational strategic plan, we intend to pursue our first audit in 2027 as part of our long-term growth and accountability goals.
