David McLeod

Dr. David A. McLeod is Director of the Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work at the University of Oklahoma and the Zarrow Strategic Chair of Forensic Social Work. A nationally recognized leader in forensic social work and behavioral science, his work focuses on improving systems that serve individuals impacted by trauma, violence, and justice involvement.

He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Forensic Social Work, the Chair of the Oklahoma Legislative Advisory Committee on Children of Incarcerated Parents, and serves in national leadership as President of the Forensic Social Work Alliance. In addition to his national roles, Dr. McLeod provides leadership at the state level through partnerships and initiatives that strengthen community systems, advance trauma-informed practice, and improve outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Dr. McLeod is also the founder of SPEIR Strategic Consulting, where he advises nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and foundations on strategy, predictive behavioral analytics, data-driven decision making, and organizational effectiveness. His work emphasizes aligning purpose, data, and human behavior to drive meaningful and measurable impact.
